Granted the sample is not that big, but if you get to watch 10-15 horses work who are by one sire, that gives you a decent sample. With Orientate, I must have watched at least 15 of his 2 year olds work at the sales in February and March and at least half of them could really run. With some of the other sires, it was more like 10%.
I've never been to a 2yo sale. Funny enough though, I go through the cats for my brother and father and talked up a Monarchos filly in one of the Florida sales. They looked at her, didnt like her and passed. She RNA'd. Two months later, she was the stakes winner Fifth Avenue.

Honestly, my relationship to the sport has always been through my father until very recently. And I focus more on broodmares although I do have a share with my brother in a Meadowlake we are thinking of pinhooking as a two year old.

Shining Forever would make for an intriguing mating with Jump Start.

Yes, I know. And a 2-year-old champion. She's my mare's 4th dam. I was speaking about Shining Forever... she's listed as a filly. Is that correct? I guess the mention of crossing well threw me.

Alright, got ya. She def has an interesting pedigree. Lord Avie isnt exciting to me, but her lines are great. She looked like a hard knocking type.

I tried to pm you but its not an option... can you email? My email is listed... I want to ask you a question about a hypo mating.
