So the complete and abject failures of this administration to govern the nation in a positive manner are because other 2 term presidents lost favor with the public in their 2nd term?

That's akin to explaining away the Titanic disaster by referencing the fact that "all maiden voyages have some hiccups"

He has not made one competent decision when it mattered - he has repeatedly sat on his hands and waited to react to situations when they have already escalated to the point of disrepair. Except of course when he is bypassing the Constitution to pass laws...errr...executive orders...by himself in the middle of the night (NDAA) or releasing Terrorists back to their homeland without consent of Congress.

There is a 6 1/2 year track record that documents this to anyone not wearing blue-tinted glasses.

I'm not sure how one can continue to defend the indefensible. Oh wait, blame "Dumbya" for this meteoric decline in popularity...that always works... well, at least it works for Jon Stewart.

Regarding the cartoon - what an utterly despicable and deranged thing it is turning a 35 year old mother, daughter, and sister who spent the final moments of her life hopelessly fighting off a lunatic with a blade as he stabbed her repeatedly in the neck, into a punch line.

I'm glad someone said this. Agreed. Truly disgusting.

Listen, I get how people detest the previous administration, I've said it before that they all should be brought up on treason charges and at least tried.

To continually live in the past, offering no solutions and incessantly blaming what happened 10 years ago is pathetic and borderline pathological.

But to take the leap where you make a sick, vile joke - the punch line of which is a savage, brutal murder against a surprised, unarmed, woman (and young man) who had no ability to defend themselves is incomprehensible.

If your hatred of Dick Chaney is still so much a part of your everyday life that this cartoon gave you a "chuckle", you really ought to consider therapy. Daily doses of Jon Stewart can't cure that mess.

This was well said and I can't possibly add to it. Well done.

Agreed, but look at it from the point of view of the Democratic Party:

If they stop blaming Bush, they will have to admit that the 6 years and counting of his successor are an abject failure.
