Regarding the broadcasting, there are only a handful of set hosts in the country that are as fluid and effortless in their delivery as Jason Blewitt. You don't have to like or rely on his opinion of races, but he is hardly someone whose presence is off-putting. Steve, while I respect your opinion, I do find him off-putting and mute him, just as others do to race callers they dislike . I find Mig interesting and Andy and Maggie too. To each their own. And, on 2nd thought agree with your point on the replays, I got used to it over the years, maybe it will grow on me.

I need to know what you find specifically off-putting about Jason. He's a terrific broadcaster, die-hard fan of the game and the perfect set-up man for Andy.

Simply put, we have a gross disagreement of opinion here and leave it at that. I donot disagree that he is a " diehard fan " though.

Well said. He's a huge fan and rarely trips on himself in performing his on-air duties. When you listen closely to the vast majority of people who are on broadcasts at racetracks (or on TV networks) they fall well short of someone like Jason in terms of delivery. Steve has it exactly right.

I've also greatly enjoyed Mike Beer being on Talkin' Horses. Not only is he a very good handicapper, but he makes a good case when he picks horses that might be a little outside the box.

Andy's OK too.

Jason has been on the NYRA broadcast since he hosted with Kelly Frisch in the late 90's. Jason is terrific. His transitions from race to race...topic to topic are seamless. He has an "encyclopedic" reference to most horses who race...have raced at NYRA tracks.

Criticism is unfounded...nothing to support except individual bias...maybe envy.
