The Woody Stephens is INSANE.

I appreciated this Sports Illustrated story, and agree with Crist's piece from before. Keep the TC the same. It's not like a dozen horses came from the Derby to the Preakness and Belmont in the 70s TC wins. There was attrition but fewer newcomers. If the TC is harder now for that reason, so much the better. Makes it even more impressive to do, and any time people wanna complain that it's not doable, Real Quiet nearly did. It's just not right to declare it'll never be done again. |
