Makes me feel ancient. I remember her when she was in a show called "The Bob Cummings Show." This ran from 1955 to 1959.

Can't say that I do know Joni James, but seems like she was a singer? Probably thinking of another Joni. Mitchell?

Looked her up on you tube and yes I do remember her, but not all that well.
I think I remember some of her music better than I remember her. I think some of her songs were borrowed by others especially You're My Everything and Why Don't You Believe Me. Have to say she was a great looking lady which makes it strange that I can't remember her better.

You have the same condition as me...CRS..can't remember schit.

Joni James (Giovanna 'Joan' Carmella Babo) was born into an Italian family in Chicago on Sept. 22, 1930

Comment at the site.
During the heyday of the great pop female singers, Patti Page, Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney one voice stood out with a new and refreshing sound.
That voice belonged to Joni James. My favorite song is "My Love, My Love" but she had so many great hits. Joni was hip and unique and to this day one of my all-time favorite singers.

Here's another I liked...lots of her songs on the right...check em out..

Yep, that was great music in those days. All those ladies you mentioned were great. Bette Midler did a rendition of a lot of Rose Mary Clooney's songs that was pretty good. Slow Boat to China, Come On To My House and others. You might enjoy listening to that, if you haven't already heard it.
