I am extremely disappointed with Fairgrounds race placement. I had planned on playing a few stakes pick 3's or 4's from there on Saturday. I wont be betting 1 cent on that card. I know its a big field, but I want no part of the 9th race. I have a super strong opinion on the 7th and 8th and am really confused why those races and not hooked with the Derby. I know im not the only one that this bothers, i also know it goes both ways. Ill just play Gulfstream and save some cash for the LOADED WOOD AND SANTA ANITA DERBY CARDS NEXT Saturday.

^They are 5 and 6 horse fields. Pretty simple.

That's fine and somewhat understandable, but its not pretty simple. I was looking forward to wagering against Untapable in the pick 3 ending with the Derby. I wont bet a dime now, because I have no interest at all in LA bred races.

Take a Jackson and play "all" on both ends of the pick 3's entering and exiting the 7th and 8th for a grand total of 11 bucks. Put the rest on the cold tap double you have the strong opinion of.

I don't understand why you would pass up what you consider to be a strong opinion just because it doesn't align with another race in a sequence. Your reason is you were "looking forward to it."

As you said, "I have a super strong opinion on the 7th and 8th." The LA Derby is no more a part of the strong opinion than the races carded before and after the 7th and 8th races.

DRF article, Steve Crist talks about race placement and how the Gulfstream Stakes are placed better.

The Crescent City Derby for La breds is one of the the best races on the card imo. 14 horse field with numerous options. i think this race will provide some great value.

Especially if one had a strong opinion in the two races preceding it.
I'm guessing if Steve Crist had a strong opinion he wouldn't boycott betting a DD in the 7th and 8th just because of poor race placement in the multi's.
