I dont even think hes the best 3yr turf horse. But to each his own, lots of money to be made for good grass horses...

Did anyone else chuckle when Centeno looked back at the field going into the final turn? I thought Ring Weekend had a chance, but as a closer. Was shocked he went to the front. Think it was necessitated by the rail post?

It wasn't necessitated by the post at all. Nobody wanted to go and Centeno seized the opportunity. Instead of wrangling the horse back, he chose not to fight him and let him roll. The grab fest behind him won the race.

There is going to have to be some major improvement for any horse to come out of that race and do much of anything the rest of the year. Ugly group.

I am a little interested to hear which 3-year-old turfers are better. He destroyed Global View.

agree, this race is no slam dunk....I like Jerry Love. Excuses last two at speed favoring gulf, works are solid, first time shades, and there should be pace?
