The most recent discussions included suggestions that Calder would be closed altogether. One of the ongoing obstacles to closing a deal has been the expense involved in renovating the backstretch at Calder and whether it is prudent.

Brunetti's a pig who turned down every reasonable deal AND charged some of the most extortionate take-out rates ever seen in thoroughbred racing. Only morons were betting what offered. Come back to the real world.
