The article cited is extremely compelling reading and certainly worthy of further debate and disclosure.

While the data provided is single sourced and I have not validated all of the calculations, the assertion that a 24.3% takeout could even possibly be in effect is eye-opening.

With Sam Houston at 12% rake and various Pick-4 events being sold at nearly that rate, one has to question any wagering option with double that price.
