Very sad
Tremendously talented actor. Sad his kids will grow up without a father.
 He obviously made a horrible choice and payed the ultimate price. His choices of film roles were very strong. Everyone's seen and knows how brilliant he was in Capote for which he won the Oscar. I found a clip on YouTube of a brilliant film from 1998 that he was very good in Todd Solondz's "Happiness" where he played the very disturbed Allen. Was fortunate enough to be 'forced' to watch 'A Late Quartet' on a flight a year or so back. It focused on Christopher Walken's character but Hoffman accented the flick like red on a Ferrari.
