I bet $20 on him but missed the race because I had to take my boss from my summer job to the airport. How many lengths did he win by?

My boss said he is going to take on Invasor in the Donn Handicap in his next race.

He owns a piece of a bunch of horses and has two horses that by the same sire as Showing Up. They just bought a horse that is from Brazil.

He owns a consulting company. I just put documents in a scanner for them all summer, but they do some type of legal consulting work.

I think it makes a lot of sense to run Showing Up on the dirt...at least in the beginning of the year. He has already shown that he is at least VERY good on the dirt and I would assume a Grade 1 or two on the dirt would greatly enhance his value and stud potential. I would target the Met Mile, which is a perfect race for him, especially if Discreet Cat is not coming. The only problem with that is the Manhattan, a Grade 1 at 1 1/4 on the turf, is just a week away. However, winning that is only dollars, and wouldn't enhance his value, and I doubt these owners are overly concerned with earnings. The big turf races really don't start until the Arlington Million. Truthfully I think they would be very foolish to never try this horse on the dirt in a Grade 1...and Tagg is no fool.

I just love watching this horse run. At a time with few good horses he is genuinely a good horse. No hype. He just runs well every time.

Andy, I had to respond to this. Showing Up has tried a Grade 1 on the dirt... I know you meant next year before the Arlington Million, but I felt like giving you shiat.

If you're going to attempt to correct me at least do it coherently. I think it is pretty apparent that I was referring to his future when I said " never try him in a Grade 1 ". I am acutely aware that he ran in the Derby...in fact I could recite his entire pps in about 8 seconds off the top of my head. Perhaps you may remember that I was touting him in the Swale, from which he was scratched, on another board where I believe you posted.

Tagg has already said that he's giving Showing Up a few months off. He's not going to run again until the Spring.

I don't think that is right. I was just at Belmont a few weeks ago and they said Showing Up probably will try the dirt and Funny Cide the turf. Pretty weird. The race was the Donn because it was only 9f. They were talking about Showing Up's form at 4 and saying something about Hurricane Run but I didn't really get it all.

They interviewed Tagg after the race today. He said the horse is geting a few months off and will not run again until the spring.
