 Vale Time Keeper  31 January 2014, 8:41 a.m. Former Group One winner Time Keeper has succumbed to foot problems and was humanely put down this week. He suffered a hoof injury in the paddock following his last raceday appearance at Awapuni in November and subsequently laminitis developed in his other front foot. A son of Stravinsky, Time Keeper and enjoyed an outstanding three-year-old season which saw him win the Gr.1 Easter Handicap and the Gr.3 Manawatu Classic. He also placed in the Gr.2 Great Northern Guineas and the Listed Wanganui Guineas and was fifth in the Gr.1 New Zealand Derby. Time Keeper’s last win was in the Listed Anzac 1600 at Awapuni in 2012 and later finished runner-up in the Listed Opunake Cup. His career earnings surpassed $365,000.
