How many coaches get canned every year for no good reason other than their kicker missed a FG or a key player got injured and they lost to a rival? If you are recruited by a coach and he is fired you are still stuck at that school or forced to sit out a year to transfer. i understand people wanting to better themselves. not sure how lying to an AD about your mistress, who you gave a govt. job to, means he was bettering himself.

and anyone in coaching knows if the team doesn't perform, it's easier to fire the coach than to get rid of the team.

Dont forget this is the same University whose basketball coach was found to be having extramarital affairs at Porcini's! Literally "having" extramarital affairs there.

technically the job he gave her was a state job, which means he could have got the university in deep by hiring his honey, who wasn't qualified.

and yes, most states highest paid 'govt employees' are typically coaches at universities. they receive state money after all.


and yes, he has a good record-but there are other good coaches without all that baggage.

and yeah, that story was something. didn't he say it lasted under 20 seconds or something like that?? maybe that was bobby's problem, he wasn't at a U with an AD who doesn't care about that stuff.
