Moving the game from Saturday (temps in the high teens) to Sunday (temp expected to be zero w/o wind chill) was brilliant.

The weather has everything to do with this. There are season tickets being offered for free all over town and even the ice fishermen don't want them.

Indy always considered "small market" is probably why.

You know Steve, considering all 80,000 seats are held by season ticket holders and they received their playof applications the Monday after getting smoked by Detroit on Thanksgiving, it's telling that only 40,000 responded back wanting them. Add in the change in policy about not getting a refund if they didn't make it ( Green Bayers are TIGHT) and I think that was the biggest cause. Look at all the absolute freezing playoff or meaningless regular season games over the years that were easy sell outs. The weather has never scared Packer fans away..I really thing it was the timing after that Detroit loss ( statistically they only had a 5% chance of making the playoffs then) and couple that with the inverse 95% chance of not getting a refund and this is why they are 3,000 tickets left the Friday before the game.

Bingo, Bob. The combination of the loss to Detroit and the payment policy are to blame. Packer fans aren't put off by the cold!

Meijer has bought the remainder of the Colts/KC tickets and will give them away to military families. Very nice gesture on their part! No word yet on how many or how much it cost them.
