He has been playing well in his first year despite the fact he has had no offensive weapons...(what are they on their 4th string RB) and a porous offensive line.
They are getting old and are beat up. Missing Carl Nicks for the season due to the MERSA thing hurt them deeply. The rest of the starters are playing through pain (like everyone else in the league I assume) but are suffering additionally from having to defend from a scaled back, vanilla playbook due to the rookie QB which doesn't help their cause as the reads are easy to pick up, coupled with the learning curve of Glennon picking up blitz packages effectively.

Losing Mike Williams early basically put V. Jackson in double coverage all year. On a positive note, the decision by Mark Domenick to not address the TE position in the offseason should have been a nightmare, but the rookie out of Rutgers, Tim Wright has effectively bailed his asz out of a tight spot.

The back up RB's (we're on our 3rd stringer) are playing admirably well considering. In fact they may have a bargaining chip to adress the line in the off season, or spread the wealth around next year to keep Martin in one piece for a whole season.

They are only a few pieces away from being a top caliber team - not convinced that we can say that about the coaching staff yet.

Martin, James, Leonard and then Rainey...who they were lucky to sign off waivers from the Browns prior to the Miami game. Leonard got most of the carries when James went down against the Dolphins and started the next week against Atlanta but was pretty much ineffective. Once Rainey took over, that was pretty much it...I think he ran for over 160 yds that game and has gotten the bulk of the carries since.

With the way their record stands now, they're not going to be in a position to draft a QB in the first round. Hopefully they take Jake Matthews out of A&M with their first pick.

They're still using Leonard as a starting FB and as an occasional 3rd down RB. Too early to tell what they are going to address though the team is built to win now so I wouldn't rule out a trade for QB with the pick and using what's left after the Revis deal to address the O-line issues

There just isn't enough offensive talent on that team. He will land on his feet.
