If ya really want to get into the morning works, get a stop watch and time the horses ..start the watch from which ever pole the horse breaks from...get the splits at each 1/8 mile pole til they get to the finish line... and don't stop the watch til they get to the pole that's 1/8 mile past the finish line. (this will give you the first gallop out time)
