it's not a popularity contest for me. i found incognito's texts reprehensible and inexcusable. others might want to give him a pass because he has football talent, and maybe they can relate to that, but that means nothing to me.
them closing ranks is akin to cops defending one of their own who is crooked.

just went to espn, and saw a story about a harassment investigation into incognitos behavior at a golf outing. there's another that says dolphins are 'mixed' regarding martin. wheres the story youre talking about?

oh, ok, its about the si 'insider' article. they reference it in the slate article.

yeah, as a past victim of abuse, that article doesn't surprise me, because my abuser had plenty of people ready and willing to vilify me and support him. typical behavior.

I get it, but not even 1 other play not 1 has defended Martin, thats not a little odd?

you mean players still on the team. not surprised at all. they don't want this attention. people don't like to scratch the surface of things either. then they might have to think, re-examine, perhaps change.
and like the one article said, it's a mixed bag of reaction. when you have a group tho, working for a common goal, they don't like stuff like this to deal with. it doesn't mean martin is lying, is wrong, or that incognito is right. no one wants to be viewed as being disloyal by saying anything that could be hurtful to the team. right now, they all just want it to go away.
