Ever since that debacle at Monmouth, with the weather, the Breeder's Cup will continue to reside in good weather venues. If you were making the decisions, you would do the same thing. It is not only the races, that concerns the BC people, but also the other trappings that go with the week/weekend. Industry parties, the renewing of friendships, and forging of new. You have to remember, as much as we think, that this is our weekend, in reality it belongs to the UBER RICH in the industry. As for them, it is a no brainer. Great weather in California, or the possibility of winter coats and mud boots for the winner's circle picture?

Nothing that we "UBER RICH" people like to do more than wear big fur coats and beaverskin hats on cold days. We don't get cold or sweat. This is from years of inbreeding. This is for the wealthy, not the rich, and the wealthy don't mind a little weather. Attendence ? It would be jammed.

Good call.

Friday....Rain high of 66 low of 43

Saturday...cloudy high of 59 and low of 34

Yeah, they really should have had the BC in Saratoga this weekend. But, hey, it could have been worse. It could have been a day later...

Sunday....Sunny high of 41 and low of 25

That would have been a wonderful end to the weekend.

But, you know what, it would have been fine inside...oh wait...there is no inside.

Very mild in Saratoga right now. 60 already, but it literally poured all night. 8 or 9 hours of steady rain. I work on Church St.....
