I am sick looking at how good the will pay is to Royal Delta on the pk5.

I should know better than to leave off a front runner with the way this track is playing

Guess Mike Smith missed the memo on how the track is playing.

I wonder if Ed Stanco still thinks it is best not to supplement and take Princess to California

What did he do wrong? What's a scenario where he doesn't get crushed? Other than the 2 falls down.

Damn, wasn't the double to the entry @ BEL paying $30? edit: didn't matter -- a couple of well prepared animals by

I am not saying that Royal Delta wins the race if Smith gives the right ride. Rather my point is that Smith did not give Royal Delta the best ride to win considering the pace scenario on paper and the way the track is playing. It is the same point I made on Traver's day about some of his rides that 10 pint whatever jumped down my throat for.

Clearly, Royal Delta's best chance of winning was to go straight to the lead in the rail favoring part of the track, get as big a gap between her and Princess and make Princess come chase her. Instead, he chooses to put the horse in a position that has not worked out very well with how this track is playing. Do you really think Royal Delta could not have outrun the 1 to the lead if Smith wanted? He is vastly overrated.

Having said that, I agree that Princess was probably winning today regardless.

Bel 11

$20W 10

I know I should have my head examined, but I don't think this field is very good outside of the 13 who is washing out. Taking a flyer on the 10 who should get a decent trip on or just off the pace and hoping for the best off the long layoff who looks like she would have beat this field before going to the bench.

Race looks like a crapshoot with a very vulnerable favorite in the 11. I respect Servis off the claim, but 7-2 on that horse is tough to stomach IMO. Worth taking a flyer on some prices. GL!

I have to watch it back, but my initial thought is that the 5 got a perfect trip. Stock Fund did what Stock Fund does.

At least Franco used the horse's best weapon even if she got into a duel. All in all the run was not that bad off a long layoff. May be worth a look at a price next out especially if in a field that lacks speed.
