For me, it's Forego and it's not close.
Record... 57/34-9-7 Won 14 Grade 1s Won 21 Graded stakes 8 Eclipse Awards 3 HOY Awards Won the Woodward four straight years The most amazing thing about Forego is the weight he carried and gave to his opponents. He won carrying 130+ lbs many, many times. The greatest single effort I've seen from a racehorse was his run in the 1976 Marlboro when, while carrying 137 lbs, he came wide in the stretch and ran down Honest Pleasure to win by a head. I drove 14 hors to see that race and I was not disappointed.
