He did the same thing on Dreamsgonewild in the last race. I guess that horse was rank too....

No problem with either ride. Not like he lost on the best horse. And, clearly, he no longer can finish with Castellano.

He 100% cost his horse in the 2nd race the win by not going to the rail and maintaining the lead. Not only would his mount then have taken advantage of the gold rail, that has existed throughout the meet, but Javy's mount would not have been able to do so. It was a poorly judged ride.

How can you be Mr Trackus and also have no problem with a horse going 5 wide all the way around?

In both cases, he was 2 wide on the turn (Maybe he entered the turn in the 3 path in the turf race). Does it matter where the frontrunner is on the backstretch?

Oh, and I don't bother with TRAKUS.

In my opinion, when a rider stays that wide in the backstretch, it encourages others to go after him early up the inside. I've seen that happen time and time again, and yesterday's last race was no different. Lasso came up inside of him, and not so coincidentally, they were both distanced at the end.

Are you saying the horse wasn't rank? JV had trouble controlling the horse and as Jimmy pointed out, he got him to the 2 path by the turn. The 2 was simply better then he was regardless of JV's ride. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
