jordan has also stepped up to the plate. a couple million last i saw have fled syria.

you'd think the arab league would step in...

i'm even more disgusted now. people playing around like this is some kind of game. playing video poker during hearings, joking around about 'losing' money, rand paul running his mouth...a general asked to make comments, who laughingly says 'no, don't want to'.
acting as tho this will all be sooo easy. yeah, it always works out that way, right?

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — As a candidate focused on his own election, Barack Obama championed restraint and global cooperation when faced with security threats.

Now, as commander in chief of a world superpower, his rhetoric of the past is being tested by the reality of today as he presses Congress to allow the United States to launch a military strike against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, over the objections of most major U.S. allies.

It's a posture that conflicts with positions he took as a young senator, a 2008 presidential candidate and even a first-term president as he cast himself as a counterweight to the more aggressive approach to national security embodied by his Republican predecessor, President George W. Bush.

Right, Bush1 did it right..expell the Iraqis from Kuwait and push them back to their homeland..Halfway to Baghdad..His son should have read his book on why we didn't advance to Baghdad and Saddam.

did the book say if saddam was removed, it would lead to chaos in iraq, as well as the rest of the region? that it would embolden iran and syria? that it would make things worse instead of better? that the other dictators all wanted saddam to stay, as they knew they'd all be targets in future? you know...just like putin doesn't want to be seen as backing regime change, engineered and orchestrated by rival countries...because he might well see it happen in russia? i mean, the people can only be placated by so many outdoorsy man with no shirt photos.
