Seems to infer Junior gave less than his best, but I didn't necessarily see it that way. Your thoughts?
I thought the chart call was rather insightful with 'tepid' a prescient adjective for the ride. Alvarado didn't seem to try to gain position at all and never truly asked Pal for run. In his defense at the same time, I appreciate that he might have been starting to go at the top of the stretch only to be repeatedly stymied by All Alex.

Steve,

You have done a tremendous job defending numerous jockeys over time, but rightly went after both Lanerie and Rosario for that rodeo disguised as a race on Sunday.

It is quite frankly hard to believe that Junior Alvarado has eleven wins (with Collborator today) at this meeting. He has been riding tentatively all meeting and has yet to figure out how to ride the 1m and 1 1/16m turf races from an outside post.
