jsut saw that the policeman who released photos in response to the stone cover has been put on restricted duty. at least he didn't get fired. altho, if i was stuck behind a desk rather than out and about, i'd probably wish i'd been fired.

Yet the CPD officers ordered back on the streets from behind a desk had a problem.

Despite the murder rate dropping in half over the past 20 years.

Still only a year min/max (with good behavior or two w/bad behavior) for an illegal gun crime in Chi town so maybe that could be a factor. Nothing to lose for a guy facing a year?
