This was a terrible, terrible call. It is impossible to know what affect gate interference has therefore in a case such as this the horse wiping out the others should be taken down and placed behind all the horses he interfered with. Sky Beauty was DQ'ed for wiping out a long priced Suffolk shipper in the Spinaway and while it was painful, the call the NYRA stewards made that day was the correct one. The idea that fouls early in the race arent as "impactful" as ones later in the race is immaterial and wrong. While a certain amount of jostling is allowed out of the gate especially in 2 yo races, this went far beyond that

The 4 clearly fouls the 3 and 2. Breaking slowly has nothing to do with it. You dont give up your right to not be run into because you break slow. His explanation leads me to believe he and the other steward are incompetent.

..simon hit him with the collusion angle also and his response was lacking....tvg guys didn't give him the white glove treatment...just all around bad for the game...
