Aw, a shame, but understandable. She's had so much bad luck with injuries. But what an amazing mare. Loved watching her run.

Convocation, the 7YO Pulpit gelding that clipped heels and fell with Ramon Dominguez aboard in what turned out to be Ramon's last race, was bought back by his original owners, Centennial Farms, to be retired from racing. Having dropped precipitously through the claiming ranks since the spill, he was entered in a $4,000 claiming race at Suffolk Downs today but was purchased yesterday from owner David Jacobson. He retires 22-4-6-3, $396,105. Way to go Centennial.

Oh that is really a shame. He was SOOOO good.
Wanted to post his nice win in the Jumbo Jet since it was pretty special (back when his record was 10 wins from 10 starts) but the sound was crap so won't bother. I am happy to read they are doing right by him. Hope he has a long, happy and healthy life. I've always been a fan. ![]() Singapore record... http://www.turfclub.com.sg/Racing/Pa...HeaderID=38935 |

An update on Convocation's buyback and retirement.
http://www.paulickreport.com/news/ra...r-old-gelding/ Sadly this kind of networking didn't happen for Monzante. |
