Default Point of Entry faces condylar surgery, could race again..

PRIVMAN: Per Shug, surgery by Bramalage on left hind cannon. Likely one screw. Could very well race again..

That's a shame.

Point of Entry is something else. Even though he doesn't have any eclipse awards, on an old-fashioned 'hypothetical handicap' -- he'd be weighted as the outright top American based turf horse in several years at 10f to 12fs.

Steve, can you find out if it's the same kind of injury that Personal Ensign sustained in her two year old year. We all remember how she came back from that surgery!

Sorry this happened. I hope he can make it back, such a talented horse.

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...dylar-fracture

condylar fracture. dammit

been a fan of this horse, and he's been fun to watch. here's hoping he can make it back for some fall racing. hard to say if they'll try tho.

i know shug got blasted for scratching him on the yielding turf a few weeks back...they ran him on it yesterday of course. as someone said his trainer mentioned after the scratch, how'd he come out of it (regarding his win on yielding in the past)? not second-guessing shug for yesterday, just defending him again for scratching before.
