The pens might have a 100M offense and defense, but keep in mind they're playing with a back up between the pipes

I just feel like Rask flies under the radar and doesn't get his due.

Fluery was horrendous last year too, hence them getting Vokoun in the off-season. One he regained his playoff form of last season and couldn't stop a beach ball, Disco Dan made the right move going to Vokoun.

i agree. goalie vs goalie, i have to give the nod to rask over the old man. he got brought to washington last year, and just didn't do the trick. the goalie is definitely the weak point for the pens.

rask has big skates to fill, and i think has done a great job doing so. he doesn't get the same respect as howard, crawford, quick...but does a great job.
and fleury is just so damned inpredictable. never thought he deserved a lot of the praise he got-but that's the penguins in a nutshell when it comes to coverage.

Disagree, he's been terrible. Maybe if they lose game 2. But I leave Vokoun in for now. Can't win if you don't score.

puck just hops off his pads, got to see that first hand in DC, where he was the starter the majority of the year only ride the pine come playoffs.
AND
he's a wrong handed goalie, hate'm, they weird me out. When i'm shooting high glove as a right handed shot i want to be shooting over your glove not your blocker, they're freak shows those wrong handers.

regardless of how many goals they score, if the pens lose tonight i think there's a very good chance they kick the tires again on the flower... at home

not sure that would spark them. others play better when they know the goalie has their back. vokoun is their best chance to win....which should be a real concern for them!

and crosby elbowing rask, and then jawing at chara-not the brightest candle on the cake...

Disagree 100% and I despise Crosby. He's trying to rile up Rask and doing his job as leader by not backing down against one of the biggest and badest mofo's in the league. Everything you want and need as Captain.

Thought I saw a tweet earlier where the Pens called up a goalie. That's gotta give the one's they have a lot of confidence!

oh, i know his intent. but i don't see him being the one to actually tangle with chara and spark his teammates. i'm sure the pens have enforcers for that.

That could just be some kind of roster technicality so he could practice with the team. I'm pretty sure that it's a non-event.

Recalled G Jeff Zatkoff from @WBSPenguins. He was team MVP during reg season after going 26-20

people with glass jaws shouldn't throw stones......at the biggest man in the NHL

* was the slash on seguin at the end of the game, and the 1+ plus of lip service he gave the ref setting the tone for game 2? The whole team is filled with babies, from mario on down, never seen a team cry wolf so many times in my life. And if Crosby, mr. all world needs to get under Raask's skin in game 1 of this series that should shed some light on how he values his teams chances

i believe that annoying ass clown doc emerik mentioned on sat. that WSB just got knocked out of the AHL playoffs so it's nothing more than a free call up and practice with the team

Stop it. He's a whiner and the only time he came close to Chara is after the ref/linesman was between them. If the Bruins are smart they will keep going after Crosby and Malkin. The more they whine the more undisiplined they become and the worse they play. An inferior Flyer team with a sieve for a goalie beat them last year using those tactics.

seth, i know you're down b/c the TBD meet just ended, but ANY announcer who’s voice can be replicated by simply pinching your nose and talking, i refuse to endorse as the best.

doc in the 80's early 90's sure, very knowledgeable. Today, you just keep hearing him talk about the old days, peoples fathers and tiger williams....... and when the fans are lucky enough to get a break from his nails on a chalkboard voice, it's filled with what i expect to be ANYTHING better, i'm given Pierre McGuire's "everything that is JR hockey" opinion, which makes me want to jump out of my 2nd story window, climb up to my nearest CTA red line and ask the next train that passith by my window to strike me down.

i would rather watch games on FOX with no sound and the laser beam puck tracker in standard def....then listen to doc emrick

Well, I guess it's a Caps fan thing then, because I have watched/listened to him work for well over 20 years (skipping his Flyer days), and no one else comes close to his preparation, knowledge, and true love and respect for the game and it's players. Every network save ESPN has called on him to be their #1 Play by Play guy, so it's not just me. He and John Davidson were the best duo EVER, any sport, IMO.

Milbury is as big a clown as a broadcaster as he was a GM, polar opposite of Emerick.
