4/20 (AQU): My Pal of Pals returns..
Hi Steve,
Any news on Pal? Last I heard, I think he had a minor injury that he was nursing - how's that coming along? Also, has he been gelded? And if not, do you still plan to? Finally, any idea when we might see him back on the track? Thanks!

Another 30 days being hand walked before he starts back. If all goes well he should be ready for spring. Hasn't been gelded.

Ships from VA Tuesday. Woody says he's 100% recovered from the surgery and hitting the ground great..

Is back under tack and training at Belmont. Doing very well. Not gelded and may not be. His behavior has improved with maturity.

Happened to be watching HRTV to kill some time and they were rerunning the 2001 BC Mile. I noticed City Zip in the post parade and I thought this will be fun. He led em for about 5 furlongs then succumbed. I felt like I was watching Pal. Can't wait to see his next effort.

I told my 5th grade class all about Pal and his upcoming race ("If there are 8 furlongs in a mile, and Pal runs 1 1/16ths of a mile, how many furlongs has he run?"). I think I have 18 new converts to horse racing! Attached are a few of the good luck notes the kids gave me on the way out the door today. Too cute!
