Palice Malice didn't have the best of trips in the Louisiana Derby and I liked him that day...

Anyone know TAPs record with stakes level horses (or any level I suppose) coming off two weeks rest?

Understatement, for sure!

That is going to be an extremely small data set with pretty much no informational value! More important, IMO, is the fact that Pletcher IS running Palace Malice back.

Is this Pletcher' s call or does Dogwood want to be in the derby badly?

Just a guess but I'd say Dogwood wants in the Derby bad.

I'm not sure what Casse's win percentage is in big races in the U.S. but how could anyone take 7/2 on any of his horses in U.S. Stake races? Seems like ever since he was on Steve's show before the Breeders Cup he has not done too much.

BTW this comment will probably put him right in the winner circle!! :P

4 for 15 with 8 ITM in the Past 5 Years (Graded Stakes between 11 and 16 days). The wins were Behindatthebar in the '08 Lexington, Caixa Electronic in the '12 True North, San Pablo in the '12 Iselin, and Unlimited Budget in the '12 Demoiselle.

Also, in non graded stakes for that same scenario he is 5 for 13 with 10 ITM and an ROI of $3.40. So they can run on short rest on the rare occasion he asks them to.
