Oscar picks for 2013

I still haven't seen SLP, but will soon; everyone I know who has seen it has raved about it. Out of the ones I did see, my favorite was Zero Dark Thirty, but I knew there was no way it was going to win. I liked Argo, though; thought it was very entertaining.

The best actor performance of the year, in my opinion, was John Hawkes in The Sessions, but he didn't even get a nomination. Boo. I really liked that film.

You know what the supposed "low point" of Ben Affleck's career was? WHEN HE WAS BANGING JENNIFER LOPEZ AND MAKING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO STAR IN BAD MOVIES. That was his rock bottom. Oh wow, real ****ing hard luck for that guy. How did he find the strength to climb out of that hole? Way to rise from the ashes there, fella. I don't know how you managed. Quick, everyone! Let's all praise Ben for putting down the J-Lo ass-tanning oil and not making terrible script choices! WHAT A COMEBACK. I'm in awe. You want a comeback story?

After Good Will Hunting he did have terrible parts in bad movies while Matt Damon ran to the top...I called him Ben Aflictted and in a tie for lousy actor with Matthew McConaughey..changed my mind about McConaughey after his role in We Are Marshall and later The Lincoln Lawyer...

He did take home the Independent Spirit Award for Best actor for that role. He was terrific in Winter's Bone, i have not seen The Sessions yet, but it looks very interesting.
