I'm hopeful Chuck Hagel will take an active stand on this, seeing as how he's the first enlisted to ever become Sec of Defense. Glad vets are getting one of their own in there.

the vets have never gotten taken care of as well as they should in this, or any country. and that goes back to the amer. revolution vets here. too many still hold the belief that people join the military because they can't 'do better' or are dumb, etc, etc. that they can't find a real job. i read a story about six or so months ago about vets getting grief from other college students because of the gi bill. it's ridiculous.
