The legislation that Snyder won’t sign had sought to allow machines that have a catalog of thousands of already-run horse races from around the nation. Bettors are not provided with the location or date of the race, or the names of horses or jockeys. But they do have access to some of the same data that would be provided in programs for live races.

The " idea " is more widespread than the solo machine I used to play years ago on Baltimore's block, and surely would be far more sophisticated. If anyone won points on the machine the clerk would pay cash if he knew you.

I thought I had the machine figured out and was probably a month away from GA when it suddenly disappeared.

I've been to firehouse fundraisers that showed films of old races and raked in 50% take but my favorite was the Grand Union Supermarket scratch off. A half hour TV show was devoted to showing old races from Hialeah. If your number won you could get up to $50 in groceries and the tickets were given away when a purchase was made at checkout.
