Bills to hire Syracuse coach. I know nothing about Marrone, but I just have a feeling that Bills fans are not going to be too thrilled with this.

He's one of the four guys that i'd be happy with in Eagle green. I guess i'm down to Bruce Arians, Gus Bradley and Mike McCoy.

Do you think that an unproven guy is the right answer for the Eagles? I think if Arians doesn't get a job this off-season it's a travesty. The job he did this year in Indy was phenomenal, but I'm wondering if that talent-laden Eagles roster (especially on defense) would be better off with a proven commodity. Given the talent they have on defense, someone like Lovie Smith would make sense to me.

It is a bit ironic that the head coaches that are en vogue are so cyclical. Schiano does well with Tampa and now college coaches are popular again. After McCarthy, Childress, Smith and many others jumped up and had success, coordinators with no experience became the best hires.

I will be interested to see how Shiano works out, there was a lot of anonymous resentment towards him at the end of the season.

This is the first time the last couple of seasons that I've heard the words "talent" and "Eagles defense" in the same sentence.

Nnamdi Asomugha, Trent Cole, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Demeco Ryans are talented players who have underperformed either since coming to Philly or suddenly in the last few years. They have $32.6 million tied up in Asomugha ($15m), Cole ($3.5m), Mike Patterson ($2.9m), Cullen Jenkins ($4.5m), Ryans ($6.7m) next year. They have badly underperformed but have all shown talent at some point. After all, this is a team that is two short seasons removed from being dubbed "The Dream Team" by the one and only Vince Young.

Nnamdi is maybe the worst corner in the league. I think he was ranked 127 out of all NFL corners. Rodgers-Cromartie is a me first dog who is not a good teammate. Trent Cole is just getting old and is a shell of his former self. Demeco Ryans does not belong on that list, as he actually has talent and heart.

Nnamdi NEEDS to be cut if the defense wants to do anything next year. He was a quarterback's wet dream this year. and it doesnt help that the philly safety's suck.

with the 4th pick.. Philly needs a playmaker. If that DT named Star is there, a combo of him and Fletcher Cox might be unstoppable. Not sure how that Monte teo guy projects as a pro, but if he is supposed to be as good of a pro as that Luke guy from BC last year, he might have to be looked at. though if the offensive Tackle from Texas a&m is on the board at 4, it is a no brainer no matter the defensive needs.

the defense is terrible. Nnamdi may be the worst free agent bust ever. Rogers has talent, but no heart and is a dog and they should NOT resign him. Cole is over the hill. The secondary was the worst in football. after they fired Castillo, the eagles D made every QB they faced (exept one or two games) look like Joe Montana.

There are very few guys on the eagles defense who should be playing in the NFL.

Cox, Graham, Demeco Ryans, Kendricks, and maybe Thorton, Boykin and Curry. Everyone else on that defense is a glorified special teamer.

Now the offense has talent and may be the selling point. Get back Jason Peters, Kelce and Herremans and the O-line may be real good again instead of one of the worst in football. Nick Foles seems to have a nice upside and I'm excited to see what he can do playing with actual starters. McCoy is great... Maclin and Jackson are okay. all they need on offense really is a true #1 reciever, and I think Celek is on the downside of his career, so another TE would be good.

on Defense they need an entire secondary, another LB, and a few lineman.

I'd love to see a guy like Lovie or Ken Wisenhunt be our Defensive Coordinator. As far as head coach, the dude from Indy or another up and coming coordinator. No college coaches please.

Whisenhunt is an offensive guy. He was the OC at Pittsburgh before going to Arizona.

Someone needs to figure out why Nnamdi Asomugha was a shutdown corner at Oakland (and he was) and is a bum now.

Not written in stone yet, but I'd say Chip Kelly schmoozing Lurie over in his interview was the worst decision Lurie could make of the 4 guys above.

The fast talking gave Jeffrey googly-eyes and swept him off his feet.

I'd be in heaven right now if Birds went from Andy Reid to Bruce Arians.

Wishing them two the most success post season can offer, although I think it's Seattle's year to break hearts on the road. Predicted it back in week 9 when my friends were constantly telling me how bad their O line is! They must forgot about those coaches that can make the team better as the season plays out. It's been 3 years so I forgive them for not knowing the feeling.
