No, not really. I think if Bernardini was in his normal position, since the pace was pretty hot, he still would have been run down by Invasor. I could be wrong, but I don't think it is clear either way. Invasor's versatility was proven, Bernardini's wasn't.

I agree with Doug. Castellano panicked, thinking he wasn't running, and asked WAY too soon. I made plenty of money with Invasor winning, but he shouldn't have.

Certainly possible, but did we have any proof Bernardini could win from that position in a route? Very few horses with his style are successful with that maneuver.
