A good percentage of my best cashes the past 5 years have came with lightly raced 2-3yo's with turf breeding making their turf debut.
The angle sounds obvious enough but, you always get value with horses that have shown nothing in their first start or two. They usually have 1-3 starts on dirt when they show a flash or sometimes nothing at all. I especially follow Pletcher, Mott, Maker, and McLaughlin with these types. Interactif (16:1) and King Congie (43:1) are 2 of my best cashes that come to mind. I also hit the Mott last winter at Gulfstream that was out of Film Maker at 18:1 getting turf in his 2nd start.
