What! you don't cook for yourself?...wife fractured her right arm bout 5 weeks ago and can't do crap...I'm chief cook and bottle washer..had lot's of leftovers from thurs but ran out yesterday so back to the kitchen for me today..call myself Chef Boyardeejay..

...think i'll go with spaghetti today...yum..

I do cook a little, but might have to seek help from the poison center, if I did much.

Do have some turkey day leftovers which I may try. Something about Thanksgiving leftovers that don't really appeal though. I don't do too much cooking. Wife is much better at it. Since I retired have pretty much become a house husband. Since wife still works, only fair that I do most of the housework cleaning and doing laundry, etc. Not wild about it, but do it. Gives you some appreciation for what women do. Not that I needed much, having lived with one for 40 years and having had women bosses most of the time when I worked. Amazing how much laundry 2 people have. Always thought that I would enjoy cooking, but so far have not added that to my resume.

Did all the cooking for years. With just the two of us now, we generally only cook on sats and sundays. I do not miss cooking at all.

Wife would probably agree with you on that. I think it's not only the act of doing it, but also the coming up with something that you haven't had a million times before. I guess we are lucky here in Hot Springs. Pretty small place, but not so small that we don't have lots of restaurants to choose from and some pretty good ones.

Oh, been doing the laundry for past 2-3 years and to my dismay getting too good at it..and everything else...but what the heck, got nothing else to do but play with the ponies and watch fav evening tv shows...mostly those on CBS..don't read much past couple years after cataract surgery...

What you said is my life in a nutshell, except for the cataract part. Probably got them coming, but so far ok.

Guess, I better get up and get ready for the world. Have been typing at the computer and chasing dogs all morning. Have a "teacup" yorkie and a chocolate lab. Problem is lab can open the door from the outside and does so when she gets tired of being outside and when she does that the other dog goes outside and usually without me noticing which puts me in a panic. We supposedly have coyotes here and they like nothing better than to make a snack out of a little dog. So I spend a bit of my time chasing dogs. Neighbors probably love it, when I'm out there in my PJs with dishevelled hair chasing my dog. Not worried about the big dog. She is about 85 pounds. Coyotes might get a mean surprise, if they tried to tackle her, but I don't know, she is a very sweet dog and funny to see her and the little dog together. The tiny dog is the alpha and she gets after the big one who tolerates it very well. Kinda like a gnat after an elephant. My apologies for anecdotes from mundane life. Probably so loquacious because wife is gone.

You still have hair?...good, another thing we have in common...

I've been watching my Steenkers, er Steelers fumblin and stumblin around against the Browns and just before half take the lead...3rd string QB and RB's...

No, not really about the hair. That was poetic license.

, but what I have was dishevelled. Which probably makes it worse for the neighbors who saw me. Also, hadn't shaved and was in flip flops. What an appealing sight all that must have been. Actually, they're probably used to it by now. Pretty common occurence around here. They're probably glad I'm not chasing them down the street which I sometimes have to do when they get out of my fenced yard.
