It does works out well for the serious players, because there's that percentage of people that won't go for the hail mary late in the game.

Exactly right. It is always nice to play in a field where a decent percentage will not play to win but rather to leave with some money.

That said, McGoey last year got in for $100 and still went all in. But, many won't.

i would just start 1K show pools if i was playing with a free entry, 1K show pools until the EC firster would knock me out
