the average govt state worker here is a few thousand at most a year higher than the average private worker. of course that number is skewed a bit since even the u of a coaches are included in that number.

Their pensions is the killer.. Pensions are virtually extinct in the Private sector.

true. and i can't stand double dippers, but it happens. i found it outrageous enough to call the gov's office.
