It totally depends on the terms of your suspension. If the terms state that you can't have any contact with the barn, even by phone, and you can't reap any financial benefits, it might be very difficult to keep any money coming in. This is especially true if the racing board asks for your bank statements and phone records.

The terms of the suspensions usually aren't that strict but occasionally they are.

I got suspended 15 days for acepromazine. Stewards never said anything nor did any paperwork say what I could or couldnt do other than be on the grounds of a racetrack in the state of KY nor did anyone seem to care. I think I ran 1 horse in my assistants name and went to the baseball All star game in Milwaukee where there was almost a riot.

he got 7 days at Del for Phenylbutazone back in August - haven't seen anything else
