This is pretty wild! New top 8 should look like this after its realeased later this morning.
1) Ohio St
2) Michigan
3) Florida
4) USC
5) Notre Dame
6)Arkansas
7) West Virginia
8) Rutgers

Interesting thing is that we could have an incredible controversy at seasons end about who plays in the Championship game.
Obviously the winner of the Ohio St- Michigan game is gonna go. But then what?
USC-Notre Dame winner could be considered, as will the likely winner of the SEC championship matchup of Arkansas-Florida. What about Rutgers- Wrst Virginia game winner as well? And what if Ohio St- Michigan game is close. Wouldn't that game warrant a rematch if thats the case?
I think whats gonna happen here is that the winner of the Ohio ST-Michigan game is going to have to play one of 4 teams decided by the BCS, and that this is going to be very hard to decipher.
Wow, wouldn't it be great if the winner of those four games met in a 4 team playoff? It would almost be like the sport has an 8 team playoff. It is so ridiculous that they still have not gone to a playoff system. It would make so much money and there is no excuse for not having one when D2 and D3 have had it for years. Have a 16 team playoff, play the first two rounds the last two weeks before exams (which would mean the other 100 teams not in the playoffs would get an extra two weeks of study time). Then have the semifinal games on New Years Day along with all the normal bowl games (which would include the 12 teams already eliminated). Then the final one week later. So simple yet they are so reluctant to do it.
