Actually, I saw the Unfurl owner on the dmtc.com board say that he thinks he could need a race, but that he is training well and he loves hollywood. Also, this is strange race cause there isnt a lot of early speed.....Flag, Pure as Gold (he will be in the watch barn though), and Premium Saltine. I thought the same thing, weird for Cnak to jump but you may be on to something with the connections loyalty cause I dont give Bear a shot.

Oracle / Scuds - you got anything for the wood carryover yet? Whos the single? Fast and Furious? Not sold on Eastern Sand here, as he was in for a tag last time and Espinoza stays with FnF. Wild Buddy will hang...to be honest, I kinda like Ace Blue to fill the exacta even though he ran like trash last time on the turf through crawling fractions. Horrible ride by Carr, take the lead dude and run away. Anyway, the MC races are just plain horrible.....only one I like is the 5th, using the Crava first timer Niftys Aura and Practical Cat (and hope he doesnt bounce like a ball). The 8th is a mess unless My First Big Kiss can repeat the last, but I like some prices with Sixes and Sevens, Speak to me Baby, and Dixies Ruler. Not to mention the feature race is a mess also........Ugh....

Well I'm leaning towards Premium Saltine in the 7th. He was very fast last year for Tom Amoss, and normally I wouldn't consider touching a horse who was making his first start away from Amoss, but Ted West is 31% with hores who make their first start in a switch to him. The only other horse in there is Unfurl The Flag who loves Hollywood but who has drawn the rail. I hate returners who need the lead who are breaking from the inside. It means they have to break and get clear and off the layoff any horse who breaks from the inside and doesnt get clear and gets pressed has to face sustained pressure and usually wilts. Premium Saltine figures to press Unfurl The Flag from the get go and may even outbreak him and make the lead. The race is full of returnees who are prepping this spot and deep closers. Its a two horse affair and I really cant see going two deep and wasting the money when I could just bite the bullet and single the race and go twice as deep in the other legs. Premium is working better and trained by a much better trainer in West than in Bernstein. Tough card there today.
