I have told Andy and Steve about it. They have good connections. They should be able to get to the bottom of it.

I wouldn't bother calling the track. I already spent over a half-hour on the phone with them. They don't even know how to do the math.

I think Texas has a flexiable take out. Magna just opts for the max. I think that Sam and Ret oft for some of the lesser percentages to lure bettors. Even tho LS is my home track I feel Magna is a rapist. Also the tb industry is being held hostage in Texas by the Bible Toters and Magna. Noone will seek office in tTexas with horseracing on there agenda. Magna proclaims that slots will solve any problem. They will build there casino in Ok City and neglect the horseracing.

They can take whatever they want as far as I'm concerned, but they need to be honest about what they're taking. They claim that they only take 18% when in fact they take over 30%. If the public knew how much these tracks were taking, I'm sure that many people would stop playing at these tracks.

Why play there when you can play at places like Churchill, Hollywood, and Aqueduct where they only take 15-16%.

Rupert-
If they are claiming that they're only taking 18% and and you have the math and subsequent payoffs to prove it's 30%- Instead of trying to talk to like MEC or one of the state racing boards.... this may sound dumb, but what about the Better Business Bureau?

The threat of taking like that public might get them to come clean. I knopw the rebuttle might be that only 5 total people show up to that track, and about another 10 (me being one lol) bet on the place. But if they want the casual fan to show up on a Fri night with their date, they might not want that to get out.
