The last game I went to as a student we were losing 59-7 to West Virginia.

At HALFTIME.

I can't believe how far this program has come in 5 short years.

RU had Brohm running for his life in the 2nd half. His brother was chewing his a$$ off on the sideline after every offensive series. No. 2 ranked defense outplayed the No. 2 ranked offense. After the 1st quarter I thought UofL was going to put 50 points on the scoreboard like they did last time against RU. Hopefully there will be no let down against the Bearcats next week.

You are a 100% right. I am worried about that Cincy game, but having the extra few days till next Sat does help.

I'm remember the old days my father (a proud RU alum) taking me to RU games and watching the getting beat by DIV 1AA, DIV2 football teams and even being killed by Duke in 80's at Giants Stadium. Thank god we can put those horrible memories to the grave. My neighbor down the street made the right choice choosing to play for Scarlett Knights football team. I'm so happy for Leonard he came back for another season.

To be honest, when I was there, I wanted them to go 1AA b/c they couldn't compete....Plus, its such a tough academic school that I thought they should focus all their funds towards that...I still kind of do, but at least we are getting what we paid for now.

It's hard to believe tickets were going for about 350 bucks
on ebay for this game...thats right a Rutgers football game,
a couple of years ago you couldn't give the tickets away.

Very few "top" academic schools are competitive in football, but it can be done. Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Cal, UCLA, etc. are perenially good/great football & top academic state schools. There's no reason the S.U.N.J. can't join them!
