why not the hopefull..sounds like he may have issues..and trust me they will be race riding against him..imo

Honestly if there wasnt so much hype concerning this horse wouldnt people be a lot more impressed? Of course now things will be "managed" so dont look for much from him again till March after the obligatory blowout stakes win going longer sometime this Fall in a race where Pletcher has 70% of the nominees.

It would have been nice to see this horse debut in a bigger field.

Velazquez was riding Archwarrior hard early on and he didn't show a whole lot of early speed -- in a bigger field he would have had dirt kicked in his face and saw some adversity and traffic because he didn't have the gate speed to outrun it.

I was worried that the true speedballs might lose an edge in these type of races with the field sizes limited -- but they've done well there and it's still very important in those type of races even with smaller fields where the horses who don't have it are less likely to find trouble and adversity.
