MMSC, post of the year is right! Thank you for having sanity and the courage to speak what you feel and understand where I am coming from. Very well said!

I feel like I'm reading the PA off topic room. Kind of sad actually.

I also cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would spend so much time arguing about politics with people that have the opposite opinions as you do. As if anyone's opinion is actually going to change.

There is a difference between arguing political opinion and arguing if facts exist or not.

This board doesn't tend to work from fact-based reality, a plethora of information, much of the time.

actually, i have had occasion to change my opinion when presented with alternate points of view. but then, i can't speak for everyone, and i generally don't occupy an extreme position on things. more of a live and let live type person.
i don't find discussion sad-it's the name calling and such that i don't care for. just because someone disagrees doesn't mean they're stupid(or whatever else i said)-especially when there are times those same two agree with each other, and then they're soooo smart.

There are very few actual discussions here. Mostly because people rarely change their opinions on things and I would say it's even rarer people change their opinions because of something someone wrote in the off topic room of a horse racing message board.
