Default Speaking of Uncle Joe...

Today's Republicans are a far cry from Republicans of yesteryear. I voted for Rockefeller (Republican) for Governor of NY in 1966 and 1970, and voted for John Lindsay (Republican-Liberal; how do you figure that?) for NYC Mayor in 1965 and 1969.

I would have voted for John Housman this year had he gotten the nomination.

I was born and raised Republican. Colin Powell, William F. Buckley. Yeah, I liked Lindsey and Rockefeller, too. Today's Republicans, however, are what used to be the John Birch Society, and they've taken over.

Obama would have made an outstanding Republican after Nixon, although he'd be more conservative than Nixon!

It's funny, as "conservatives" in England are now to the left of our Democrats nowadays (the Dems who have take a far, far fling to the right, too, as the GOP went off the cliff to the far right and dragged them with them)
