has anyone here been there? any recommendations? tony and i have never been to okla city, so we don't know about restaurants, etc.
what's the track like? or should we go to a different track? one of the nice things about living where we do, it's a few hours to somewhere.

First, don't stay near the track. It is in the "Adventure District", which is fine and includes the track, the zoo, the science center, and the ASA softball stadiums. But the immediate surrounding area, not so much. I'd stay in Bricktown, which is nice, or on the north side by Lake Hefner. The track is on the north side as well, but further east.
What type of food are you looking to eat? The track dining room is decent and so is the dining in the casino. If you are looking for steaks, don't buy the reputation of Cattlemen's. There are much better places. Boulevard Steakhouse is great, as is Opus Prime Steakhouse. Mickey Mantle's in Bricktown is very good as well, but not as good as the others. If you are looking for something different, let me know.
The track is nice. It is one of the few racinos where you don't actually have to work to find the track. It is almost the other way around. The track is clean easy to navigate. I live only 15 minutes away, but honestly I don't go more than once or twice a year. The times I have went though I don't have any complaints.
