Default Travers Blanket

After coming up with the idea and creating the blanket for the past 18 years to drape a hand made flower blanket over the Travers winner, the local talent(not named) was informed by NYRA her services will no longer be needed and that the blanket will be produced in-house by NYRA to save money.

It may seem minimal to the masses but the effort and friends that worked on this blanket put the upmost pride into it's creation. It will be missed.

Seriously now...to save money? Simply amazing but not shocked in the least...NYRA sort of feels like a great Luxury Liner with stalled engines floating aimlessly into the night... hit an Iceberg already puhleeeez...

A 'Hand made flower blanket' thread might be the only thing worse than a Logo thread.

Here is an article about the blanket and how it was made.

"Assembling the blanket has become a team effort; Lee invites friends and family to her home on Friday afternoon and provides food and drink as they pitch in by threading needles, cutting flowers, and cleaning up."

Scat has had an agenda against NYRA for quite some time now. Seems pretty obvious who the self proclaimed "local talent" is. There is little doubt based on previous posts that there is much more to the story that led to Scat's dismissal.
