Default Colorado Springs wild fires

Slim margin of safety today for the northwest portion of town suddenly swept by fire yesterday, but still danger. With the other fires in Colorado, and other states, hope Dee Tee'ers out west are able to stay safe.

A good live local news web feed for Colorado Springs, here: www.kktv.com

Cannot catch a break out here. One goes out and another takes its place. Not too windy today, might even get some rain...

I was thinking about you, are you near the Springs, Boulder? You safe?

My heart goes out to all those people in that area, Denver was always very good to me and I always enjoyed spending time in the Springs. So sad.

We are North Denver, no worries here other than friends and clients up/down that way. Smoke still North from Ft. Collins, now the Flatiron #1 is burning (great place to climb) just outside Boulder and this MONSTER in the Springs. It is bad.

Same here, seems like months of nothing but fires out that way..Have family in NMex and fortunately the recent fires not near them...few years ago they were affected...say temps in rocky mt areas reached 110 deg...hotter there than the hottest middle east countries....

Good wishes and safety to you, your clients and friends. It will be some time before the threat to you all is gone

That's a beautiful state, many fond memories of visits to Denver, Greeley, Black Forest & the Springs, etc. We have had a major dog field trial out there in Falcon every year for the past 30 years or so. And our breed national specialty trial was held on the Air Force Base a few years back.

bad in a lot of places, most of arkansas is in a drought situation. we had a fire here south of town, but luckily put out rather quickly.

hope they get that under control out there soon, and that everyone makes it out alive.
